Make sure you have the latest BIOS version for your desktop board. I have reflashed the MB bios, even went to a previous version, checked BIOS sameand then reflashed to the latest and greatest. I have data copied, so rebuilding the array and copying data back is not an issue.
Just upgraded from XP to W8 then W8. An alternative that popped into my head is to reflash the BIOS using the iFlash utility, instead of the Express BIOS inside of Windowsalthough this was proving difficult setting it up with my Vista bit machine, and don’t have a floppy for my bit laptop so. Seriously, don’t waste anymore time. The first restart is important to make sure the driver is installed properly.
If you had attempted the same rsid upgrading to XP you would have run into the same problem. I dont understand that.
