Today I also tried to install the Atmel software on a WIndows 7 32 bits machine. Is there anything I could type into Tera Term to get a response from the board? Rebooting, restarting, un plugging, nothing works. This helped me to recover my arduino mega from forever upload loop that many people experience. Atmel Studio 6 : Manually installing Atmel USB driver from the installer executable
If you need to replace the Jungo driver and windows still won’t let you although you’ve uninstalled all of Atmel Studio like me. Hello all, since I’ve been helped by so many knowledgeable and generous people here, I wanted to give back a little mungo what I’ve learned.
No virusscanner, internal firewall disabled. I will have another go at this on Friday, for the moment I don’t have time to work on it. For the arduino the following changes are needed: Open up the programmers.
Different hardware could mean different USB driver chips with different electrical characteristics.
So, concluding, I have one old machine running on WIndows 7 64 bits that is able to communicate with the board. However, Atmel Studio needs quite some resources, and this computer is a dinosaur. If your did like mine and went ahead automatically and installed the stinkin Jungo USB drivers anyway, then you’ll need to do the follow: Go to “drivers” 4. Today I have tried to re-run de Atmel Studio installer in Admin-mode, but that has not helped me yet.
DigitalJohnson Full Member Posts: I noticed that it didn’t install the Jungo WinDriver automatically, so the manual procedure was necessary. That might explain the difference, since the D20 board obviously has a borderline USB connection condition.

I also wanted to add. I see I may have to disable the real-time protection in that, I have not tried that yet. Communication baudrate is at sturio On my newer machines, this doesn’t automatically happen. Not sure what to try next. Virusscanner is Microsoft Security Essentials. Kind Regards, Viacheslav Gromov.
How to configure the Atmel AVRISP MKii to work with Arduino IDE
Driver installed correctly, but again Atmel Studio doesn’t communicate with the board. There is some flashing of the leds, and in Atmel Studio the Xplained board is shown immediately. If this is the case no driver changes are needed and it works with both AVR studio and Arduino.
I have never any special firewalls installed except the internal one from Windows. Is there any other software that should be able to communicate with the board, besides Atmel Studio?
It is a known issue, and requires one to manually add the driver because of ‘Legacy Hardware’. I know this is ancient thread, but i had to register just jhngo thank you for this post.

So far I have spent 90 minutes installing the software and four hours debugging the communication If anyone spots an error, please let me know.
Now since two pinholes line up with the ribbon stripe, look carefully for a triangle symbol.
