Thanks a million, this is such a simple fix that would have taken forever to figure out if it were not for your entry to this blog. And they say that Linux has driver issues?! Thanks for the info. I installed it in my computer, hooked up the sata power, and data cable, and turned on my computer. Hope this helps Bill. Actually finding a spare drive jumper in the house was another matter entirely — but when I finally did, the drive appeared in the BIOS and everything went according to plan. That is, as opposed to saying:

Time for a new hard drive. Ive never had a problem with Sata drives before and nobody else seems to be experiencing similar problems I found it saat easily and I don’t own.

SATA jumpers I am seeing the opposite results. Thank you for reminding me that I should locate 2 of those jumpers and get the drives jumpered correctly. Thank you for helping us maintain CNET’s great community. This worked, no errors, and it seemed to be very fast. This again has shown to me just how much we can learn here on the BBS hawk It’s not detected – and no amount of wire checking aa7v600 make any difference.
