Meanwhile I have compared all the logs 1td4 settings I could think of with a similar computer I made last week which works just fine. The only significant difference I can think of is the earlier installation of Centos 7 has a motherboard with onboard parallel port and this one has the parport on the aforementioned PCI card.
New device files should be created with a prefix as ttySNX instead of ttyS. Same problem with that.

If I choose any 19999 the motherboard options for parallel port I get a parport0 at the chosen irq etc but my print jobs get stuck at “processing”. Does anyone happen to know if this card should be supported or not?
